Manchester can be reached easily by train and coach within the UK as well as by air through Manchester International Airport from almost anywhere in the world.
Follow the rail signs in your arrival terminal. Trains run to Manchester Piccadilly rail station and take approximately 15–20 minutes, many continue onto Oxford Road, Deansgate and Salford Central stations. You can buy tickets at ‘The Station’ from self service ticket machines or the ticket office (about £6).

The closest train station to RNCM is Oxford Road Station, which is one stop away from Manchester Piccadilly Station (a major gateway to the North West). It takes no more than 10 minutes on foot from Oxford Road station to RNCM. The map on the right (click it to get a large image) shows where RNCM and MMU Geoffrey Manton buildings (building no.12) are. They are next to each other, close to the bottom of the map.

There are various options for travel to London depending on your budget and timescales.
The best way to go to Central London is to take Gatwick Express train (£11 each way), which gets you to London Victoria station. To travel to Manchester from there, you have a wide range of choice, as described below. In all cases you need to take the London Underground (‘Tube’) to go to one of the London stations.
