There are two levels of financial support: fees (plus maintenance) and travel grants.
Fees and maintenance
Prospective MA and PhD students at Queen's are eligible for a range of government grants (most typically DEL and AHRC for ‘home students’). Some may be eligible for specified QUB awards as well. Students should consult the following web site for further information and application forms (information about additional grants for EU and overseas students will be detailed here as well): http://www.qub.ac.uk/rrs/webpages/postgd-awards.htm
All research applicants are advised that they should consult their prospective supervisor to draw up a programme of study before making any research application.
All MA applicants are advised that you may make an AHRC application through one institution only, and that you will be required to have a dissertation topic as part of the application – therefore consultation with your prospective supervisor well in advance of any deadline is essential.
The deadlines for individual grants may vary – application for certain grants may effect the deadline for your Queen’s application as well. All information about deadlines is provided at the web address above.

Further information about travel grants may be found at the address given above and from Academic and Student Affairs
The PG noticeboards in the basement of the School of Music and Sonic Arts will give further funding information.
In all cases, applicants are advised that well-costed and specific applications tend to meet with more success than vague or general requests for funds.
